The Commissioner of Internal Revenue Service wishes to remind all Rent / Property Income Earners that they are obliged by the provisions of the Internal Revenue Act 2000 (Act 592) to voluntarily declare their income and pay the appropriate taxes there on.

Defaulters are hereby warned that the provisions of the Tax Law will be enforced and penalty imposed.

The public is informed that the Withholding Tax on Rent Income is 8%. Only Bodies of Persons can withhold the tax. Individual tenants cannot withhold the tax.
