Finance
Barima Agyenim Boateng
Barima had his primary and secondary education all in the Ashanti Region and proceeded to the Institute of Professional Studies (IPS) Legon, Accra for a professional course in accounting. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2000 and was elected a Council Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana in 2006. Barima has 30 years extensive and varied working experience.
He joined the IRS as Deputy Commissioner, Finance, on 1st September 2006. He is the current Chairman of the Finance Committee of the Madina Emmanuel Presbyterian Church, Accra. Barima Agyenim Boateng is married with five children. His hobbies include sports, reading and music.
Administration
Mr. Kobina Ebow Enyimayew
Mr. Kobina Ebow Enyimayew graduated from the University of Ghana in 1977 with a BA (Hons) degree in Psychology. Prior to that, he had attended Prempeh College and Mfantsipim School for the "0" and "A" Level Certificates respectively. He later pursued a postgraduate course at the School of Administration (UG) and graduated in 1997 with Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree. He has also attended several short courses, seminars and workshops in management both locally and abroad.
Before joining the IRS on 1st April 2003, Mr. Enyimayew worked for twenty years at the Ghana Standards Boards and rose to become the Head of Personnel, a position he held for eight years. In 1999 he joined the Ghana Cylinder Manufacturing Company Ltd as Administrative Manager. The new Deputy Commissioner is married with four (4) daughters. He loves jazz music.
When asked about his thought on I.R.S, Mr. Enyimayew said there was a lot of work to be done and he would need the co-operation of all to achieve results. He opined that the Service would have to improve on the efficient use of human and material resources. Mr. Enyimayaw thinks the work at I.R.S. is challenging but he is confident that with God's guidance he will be up to it. Asked about any regrets, he said it was too early to say.
Head of National Tax Audit Bureau (NTAB)
Mr. D. T. Acquaye
Mr. D. T. Acquaye was educated at the School of Administration, University of Ghana from 1972 to 1975. He obtained a BSc. (Admin) Degree (Accounting Major).
He joined the Internal Revenue Service where he served in various capacities, including Head of Tax Audit Division and the Finance and Administration Department.
he is currently the Head of National Tax Audit Bureau (NTAB) under the Revenue Board of the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning.
Internal Audit
Mr. Henry Acquah
Mr. Henry Acquah is a qualified Accountant and also holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Ghana Business School, Legon since 2001 Mr. Acquah assumed duty as Deputy Commissioner, Internal Audit on 1st December, 2009. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his job. He worked with the University of Ghana, Legon Internal Audit for two years and later Ghana Customs Excise and Preventive Service (CEPS) for eleven years. Whilst with CEPS, he worked as the Internal Auditor with the Audit Department and then with the Finance Department. He was part of the team that drew the strategic and Development plans of CEPS He is married with three children and his hobbies are sports, reading and travelling.
